Shasta Commons is a resource network to assist in the organization and promotion of local, sustainable goods and services through education, existing and planned community projects and the shastacommons.org website. Projects include but are not limited to cooperative organic gardening and distribution, a garden-share program, micro-farming workshops and a local currency/ trade bank.

Community Action Planning GroupsSeveral groups are formed or in the process of forming based around local sustainability. The function of Shasta Commons is to be an organizational and promotional resource network for existing and planned community sustainability projects... a central hub where all groups can collaborate, share ideas and resources and help each other. Individual groups will be autonomous.
