2010 Permaculture Class Series

Permaculture Series Returns

Wendy Crist and Molly Brown will be hosting a Permaculture Garden series beginning on March 27th, and running through July 24th. The first series of such classes were offered last year, with Wendy and her Permaculture partner and friend Beki Filipello. The class was very well attended and enthusiastically received with nearly 40 people in attendance throughout the five-month series. The series of classes focused on growing food in your own backyard, using permaculture principles and organic techniques.

Siskiyou County Sustainability Survey

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for taking the survey. the results are posted here.

The goals of this Transition Town project are fourfold:

  1. Will give a general feel for how sustainable people are in their individual lives, and therefore where we stand as a larger community.
  2. Will be an educational tool to inform people about these issues by posting results in local newspapers with detailed recommendations.
  3. Will help join people together in their respective areas of interest and expertise.
  4. Results will be used to form and prioritize future Transition Town projects to help Siskiyou County become more sustainable.

Thank You,
The Transition Mount Shasta Team
